BA Marketing

Course Overview

The BA Marketing course at the University of Gloucestershire teaches students the skills they need for careers in marketing. It focuses on creativity, strategy, and innovation, helping students understand consumer behavior, create marketing campaigns, and use social media effectively. Students also get hands-on experience working on real projects with well-known brands like BT, Harley-Davidson, and Just Eat.

This programme lasts three years and is held at the Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester. In the first year, students study modules on consumer behavior, marketing communication, and social media. As they progress, the course builds on these skills with more advanced subjects. The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), so students can earn a CIM Graduate Certificate together with their degree.

Beyond lectures and seminars, students have the chance to join the Marketing Society or take part in the Business School’s "360" initiative, where they work on marketing challenges faced by small businesses. These activities help students gain real-world experience and build confidence in their skills. Graduates leave ready for careers in marketing and related fields.
