About University

The University of Gloucestershire is a public university with campuses in Cheltenham and Gloucester, England. It has roots dating back to the Cheltenham Mechanics' Institute in 1834 and the Cheltenham Training College in 1847. Therefore, it has a long history of academic excellence. It officially became a university in 2001 and now welcomes around 9,200 students from over 60 countries.

The university is organised into eight academic schools and covers a wide range of disciplines. Research is a key focus, with strengths in areas such as Creative Practice, Health, Life Sciences, Sport & Wellbeing, and Business & Technology. Entry Requirements

  • 104 UCAS tariff points, BCC at A levels, DMM at BTEC or a Merit in your T-Level is accepted. 

English Proficiency

  • International applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any component. Other equivalent tests are also accepted. 

The University of Gloucestershire also offers pre-sessional English Language preparation for those who do not meet the language requirements. 

Cost of Study

The tuition fee to study the BA in International Business Management at the University of Gloucestershire is £17,425 per year. This is provisional and subject to change.

Scholarships

The University of Gloucestershire is committed to supporting international students through a range of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.

A key funding opportunity is the Undergraduate Taught Merit Scholarship, which offers a total tuition fee reduction of £7,500 over three years. This award is available to new, self-funded international students enrolling in a full-time, on-campus undergraduate degree in September 2025, with a minimum study period of two semesters. To be considered, applications must be submitted by 30 April 2025, and students must be classified as international fee payers covering 100% of their tuition costs.

Another option is the Global Scholarship, which provides a £1,500 tuition fee waiver for new, self-funded international students joining any full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme.
