BSc Developmental Psychology
Course overview
The BSc Developmental Psychology at the University of East Anglia (UEA) teaches students how individuals develop cognitively, emotionally, and socially from infancy through adolescence. The course combines a strong core of psychology modules with specific developmental perspectives, allowing students to explore theoretical frameworks and research evidence on topics such as typical and atypical development.
The programme offers research-led instruction in both small-group and larger-group settings, supported by personal academic advisors and university wellbeing services, and students have access to advanced facilities such as the Developmental Dynamics Lab and a virtual-reality suite. And complete an individual research project in their third year, and are assessed through essays, coursework, and projects, with fewer traditional exams in recent years.
