Grade Requirements

  • 104-112 UCAS Tariff Points with qualifications equivalent to the UK A-levels in subjects such as economics, business studies, or sociology. The typical grade range is ABB-BBC.
  • BTEC Extended Diploma: With grades ranging with DDM (Distinction, Distinction, Merit)

Other International Requirements

English Proficiency

  • Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.5. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the 2025/26 academic year for international students in the BA Entrepreneurship and Early Childhood Studies is approximately £16,900. This cost is mostly curated towards tuition and does not cover additional costs related to the programme.

Scholarships

The University of Derby offers several scholarships and bursaries to both domestic and international students. To be eligible, students must first receive an offer of study from the university.

This scholarship covers full tuition fees and stipend for talented and motivated postgraduate students to study MSc Intelligence, Security, and Disaster Management, offered to students from selected commonwealth countries.

Students will be eligible for the award of a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship of £2,000, which will be deducted from their first-year tuition fee. This £2,000 scholarship is in addition to our existing Full Payment Discount whereby students who pay their annual tuition fee in full ahead of enrolment benefit from a £1,000 discount.
