MSc Cyber Security
Course overview
This Master of Science (MSc) in Cyber Security at the University of Lancashire is designed to provide students with the theoretical and practical skills needed to address the growing threats from illegal or unwanted digital activities. The course focuses on developing an in-depth understanding of the challenges and methods of security development.
The programme includes compulsory modules such as Digital Security, Advanced Topics in Cybersecurity, and a Master’s Project, where students work on a substantial problem of their choice. Teaching uses, and practical sessions alongside an electronic learning environment, and assessment involves individual and group assignments, presentations, seminars, and examinations.
Entry requirements
To be enrolled, candidates must submit a personal statement and provide appropriate academic or professional references. They may also upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.
Grade Requirements:

Applicants should hold at least a 2:2 honours degree or a qualification deemed equivalent in a Computing or a closely related discipline.

Alternatively, candidates with a degree and substantial relevant industrial experience or those who possess a British Computer Society (BCS) Postgraduate Diploma plus the associated project will also be considered.
