BSc Paramedic Science
Course overview
The BSc Paramedic Science studied at the University of Central Lancashire prepares students to provide emergency medical care in pre-hospital environments. The course combines theoretical learning with practical experience, helping students develop the confidence and clinical skills needed to respond effectively in critical situations. Learners gain essential knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and patient assessment through a combination of classroom sessions, simulated practice, and clinical placements.
Learning is assessed through coursework, practical evaluations, and written examinations to ensure a strong understanding of paramedic practice. Also, students will undertake placements with ambulance services and healthcare partners, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-life settings. Graduates are eligible to register as paramedics with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
