BSc Construction Project Management with Foundation Year

University of Lancashire

Course overview

This four-year BSc Construction Project Management (with Foundation Year) at the University of Lancashire is designed for students who do not have the typical entry grades for a standard degree. The programme gives students a strong, professional foundation in Construction Project Management, teaching them how to successfully manage and lead project teams. The main degree part is officially approved by major industry bodies like the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), confirming it meets high standards and offers excellent preparation for a construction career.

The first Foundation Year focuses on building the essential core academic skills and basic knowledge in engineering and construction technology required for the main degree. Assessment uses a blend of formal exams, written coursework, and hands-on projects, ensuring students gain both technical understanding and key study skills. The overall course content thoroughly covers the latest construction techniques, systems, design rules, and project management details from start to end.
