BSc Architecture
Course overview
This is a three-year Bachelor of Science degree programme validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB), which gives students a strong foundation in architectural design and building technology. The programme gives out an innovative and critical education that solves and controls current architectural challenges from both local and global viewpoints.
Students will gain hands-on experience through live projects with local professionals and communities. Performances are checked through coursework, exams, reports, and building a professional portfolio of design work, which includes 3D models. They will gain access to state-of-the-art facilities such as computer labs, a dedicated workshop, and personal desks and drawing boards in the design studios.
Entry requirements
Applicants are required to submit a personal statement, which clearly outlines their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information about their studies. An academic or employer reference is also needed. Students can upload their CVs together with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.
Grade Requirements:
-
To qualify, applicants need 112–128 UCAS points from qualifications like three A-levels or equivalent T-levels, which must include a subject related to art or design. They will be asked to display a portfolio of creative work at an interview to showcase their aptitude for design.
English Language Requirements:
-
Applicants who are from outside the UK need an overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with no score less than 5.5 in any section) or submit equivalent test scores. This is the standard minimum English language requirement for admission to an undergraduate degree at the university.
