This master's degree is a programme designed to provide excellent training in stopping, checking, diagnosing, and treating sports injuries. It has a strong focus on practical skills and applying what students learn to real-world situations. Students will get 400 hours of placement experience with experts in the field. This course is accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) and the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
Students' work will be graded in different ways, including lab reports, case studies, portfolios, and practical exams. They will also do their own research and assess athletes, creating data for reports and a dissertation. Students’ hands-on skills, including problem-solving, will be assessed to ensure they meet BASRaT standards, which will lead them to getting accredited and finding a job after they graduate.
