BSc Marketing With Foundation Year

Course Overview

This four-year program starts with a Foundation Year, acting as a pathway for students who might not meet direct entry requirements for a bachelor's degree. This first year helps build essential academic writing skills, improves numeracy, and introduces specific subject material. Completing the Foundation Year successfully is necessary to move on to the main degree course.

After the Foundation Year, students begin the three-year BSc Marketing degree. This part of the course covers modern marketing topics like digital and social media, artificial intelligence, and understanding consumer actions. It also includes branding. 

The programme is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Data and Marketing (IDM), helping students get valuable industry standing. Students learn through real marketing situations and projects, which prepare them for jobs in the field.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need A-levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma, T Levels, or the International Baccalaureate. 
  • The university also accepts equivalent international qualifications.

English Proficiency:

  • If English is not your primary language, you will need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual skill score (reading, writing, listening, or speaking) lower than 5.5. 
  • Equivalent English test scores, like PTE and TOEFL, are also accepted by the university.

Cost of Study

For international students, the full-time standard undergraduate tuition fee for the Academic Year 2025/26, which includes the Foundation Year, is £16,900 per year.

Scholarships

The University of Bedfordshire helps students with their studies by offering various scholarships and bursaries. For example, students who earn a set number of UCAS tariff points can receive an Excellence Scholarship of £2,500 each year for three years. There are also Achievement Scholarships available, providing £500 per year to students with 120 UCAS tariff points. Also, international students might get a £1,000 scholarship during their first year.
