BSc Paramedic Science

Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science at University College Birmingham is a three-year, undergraduate programme that prepares students for their career as Allied Health Professionals. The curriculum also provides students with the essential knowledge, skills, values, and behaviours needed in professional paramedic practice. Upon completing the course, graduates are eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Learning involves the application of academic concepts using state-of-the-art facilities, such as the Health Skills and Simulation Suite, which features a six-bed hospital ward and a functional ambulance. Students will also complete approximately 600 clinical hours of practice placements annually and be assessed through written examinations, coursework, and practical evaluations.

  • Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must demonstrate their English language proficiency by achieving an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
  • Other English language qualifications, like TOEFL, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The current cost for studying BSc Paramedic Science at University College Birmingham is £16,000 per year for International students, but this may increase subsequently.
