MSc Advanced Computer Science
Course overview
The Swansea University MSc Advanced Computer Science course helps provide students with the skills and knowledge that they need for future research or a rewarding career in the technology sector. The course is also suitable for graduates in Computer Science or those who have relevant technical experience from a different first degree. Students select specialist modules in a wide range of subjects, including artificial intelligence, big data, network security, and cryptocurrencies.
The programme is primarily based at the £32.5 million Computational Foundry, which contains sophisticated teaching and research equipment like a Cyber Security/Networking Lab and a Visualisation Suite. The course follows a broad taught component with a strong focus on technical concepts, followed by a substantial individual research project (MSc Dissertation) in the final phase.
