MSc Aeronautical Engineering

Course Overview

This Master's course in Automotive Engineering gives a full understanding of the main technological ideas behind car design and how to use them. It uses the newest computer tools for analysis and design, including common software and equipment used in the industry. The course helps students understand theories better by taking on practical tasks, like using computer models and working on actual cars in a modern workshop.

The course has eight main topics, covering things like how cars are designed, using computer analysis for parts (finite element analysis), designing advanced engines, and how cars handle and move through the air. Students will also conduct a personal project, which ends with a written report. After completing this degree, which is approved by IMechE, students will have met the school requirements to become a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.
