BSc Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science
Course overview
This is a four-year programme starting with a foundation year, which is designed for those who do not have the standard entry qualifications for the main degree. The first year works to develop important academic skills and covers basic subjects such as Leadership Through Sport, Foundations of Fitness, and Sport Business Management. After passing the foundation year, students move straight onto the three-year BSc (Hons) Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science degree.
The main degree focuses on nutrition, exercise science, and public health, allowing students to specialise in either a Fitness and Personal Training pathway or a Health and Exercise Science pathway. Assessment includes assignments like live client briefs, video submissions, blogs, and presentations. This course has full endorsement from CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) for key professional competencies.
