BSc Business Management
Course overview
The BSc Business Management with Foundation Year at Solent University, Southampton, is a four-year full-time programme (foundation year + three years of the degree). The foundation year provides a pathway for students who do not meet the requirements for direct entry into year one. The pathway programme helps students to build skills in business fundamentals and their academic studies.
Students who complete the foundation year can start the main Business Management degree programme. They will study major business modules in areas such as strategy, marketing, operations, organisational behaviour, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The programme is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Teaching and learning take place through lectures, seminars, workshops, business simulations, case studies, and group projects. Assessment includes coursework, presentations, business projects, and reports.
Entry requirements
Students who want to study Business Management with a foundation year will need to meet both academic and English language requirements. As part of the application, students will submit academic transcripts, a personal statement, references, and proof of identity.
