Overview

This Nursing (Adult) undergraduate three-year degree equips you to be a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The course will provide you with the clinical skills, knowledge, and confidence that you require to offer patients excellent care. Nurses and other healthcare professionals working in the field will teach you.

Another important aspect of the programme is the practical placement and practical teaching in a variety of environments, such as hospitals, community centres, and GP surgeries. The university has invested in new facilities that simulate the real-life hospital wards and community spaces, which enable you to practice the skills in a secure place.

Entry Requirements

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement, a relevant academic and/or employer reference, and their CV along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience. There are also additional requirements, including health checks and a criminal records declaration.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants should have a minimum of 112 UCAS points from A levels, BTEC National, or T-level qualifications.
  • The university accepts international qualifications that are equivalent to A-levels.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English-speaking backgrounds must demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. This can be achieved by submitting an IELTS score of 7.0, with a minimum of 6.5 in each section, or an equivalent test score.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for international students taking the BSc (Honours) Nursing (Adult) at Sheffield Hallam University is £19,155 per year. This fee includes an annual placement supplement of £2,000.
