The Business and Management Foundation Year at Northumbria University is a full-time course that lasts for one year and is designed to help students gain essential academic and business skills before they move on to a degree programme. During this year, students will learn about key topics in business, such as information management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and strategy. The programme also focuses on sustainability and ethical business practices to give students a better understanding of today's business challenges.
To improve employability, the foundation year teaches important skills like data analysis, ethical decision-making, and leadership. After completing this year, students can continue onto a Level 4 Business degree or an Accounting and Finance course based on their interests.

International students enrolling in the Northumbria University Business and Management Foundation Year programme for the academic year 2025/26 will be charged a tuition fee of £19,350 per year. Please note that this fee is subject to change.
International students at Northumbria University can access several scholarships, including the Northumbria International Scholarship, which gives at least £3,000 off tuition fees in the first year for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. For the following years of study, eligible undergraduate students will continue to receive £2,000.
Also, if students pay their deposit by 31 May 2025, they can benefit from a £500 Early Payment Discount.
