Course Overview
This four-year BEng Computer Networking and Cloud Security course prepare students for a career in IT. The course begins with a supportive programme, where students learn essential subjects like robotics, IoT, maths, and programming. After that, students take core modules like electronics, communications, advanced AI, embedded systems, computer vision, and work-related learning.
The degree is taught at Holloway campus in London through lectures, interactive tutorials, and hands-on lab workshops, and projects using real tools and robotics software, so students learn by doing. Learning is supported on the university’s virtual learning environment (VLE).
Assessments include lab work, written assignments, presentations, and a final project that ties theory and practice together. Students benefit from access to modern facilities such as engineering labs for modelling, simulation, and production. The programme also includes a built-in work-related learning strand, allowing students to gain practical experience and build real-world skills while studying.

Grade Requirements:
A minimum of grades CCD at A level, one of which must be from a relevant subject, or a minimum of 88 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma/Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Progression Diploma or Access to HE Diploma of 60 credits. English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C/4 or above. -
English Proficiency:
International students are required to show proof of English proficiency, typically with an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no section below 5.5.
Cost of Study
In 2025/26, the annual tuition fee to study BEng Computer Networking and Cloud Security at London Metropolitan University is £19,500 per year for full-time study.
