BA Architecture

Course Overview

The BA Architecture at London Metropolitan University is designed to allow students to use practical and collaborative design methods to develop a successful career in architecture and related fields. Students will learn core design and principles, building a strong foundation of knowledge. They will work in the university's workshops, as well as local neighbourhoods, to create ideas that encourage better environments and communities for the future. This undergraduate architecture degree is the first step towards a professional career in architecture, as students complete the course with exemption from RIBA Part 1. Through a combination of practical design work, formal teaching, and field work, they will gain the skills and experience necessary to continue to complete RIBA Part 2 and 3.

Entry Requirements

You are required to submit a personal statement in which you discuss your reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding your studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants are expected to have a minimum of grades BBB in three A levels.
  • One of the A levels must be from a relevant subject area such as Art, Humanities, or the Social Sciences.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 120 UCAS points is accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Overall IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four components.
  • Equivalent qualifications like PTE and TOEFL are also accepted.

Cost of Study

For international students, the full-time tuition fee for the BA Architecture at London Metropolitan University is £21,000 per year.
