BSc Human Biology with Foundation Year

The BSc Human Biology with Foundation Year teaches students the basics of human anatomy, physiology, genetics, and biological processes, thereby building a strong foundation. In the Foundation Year, students gain the scientific knowledge and research skills they need to move on to the main degree.

During the foundation year, students will be taught core modules, including skills and perspectives in science 1 and 2, wildlife studies, anatomy and physiology, understanding the environment, and the building blocks of life. Students will be assessed by exams, phase tests, fieldwork/practical reports, data handling, oral presentations, poster presentations, group discussions, and essays.

After students pass the foundation year to the main degree, they will learn about themes such as genetics, health and disease, nutrition, neuroscience, and microbiology or immunology. They will benefit from laboratory work, optional modules, and short placements or an industrial placement year.

• PTE and TOEFL are also accepted.
