BEng Civil Engineering

The BEng Civil Engineering at John Moores University provides students with a thorough understanding of key engineering principles, focusing on combining high-quality techniques with the people management skills needed within the construction industry. Students will develop advanced mathematical knowledge, gain expertise in design, sustainability, health and safety, including everything they need to tackle the real-world challenges they will face as professional civil engineers.

During the programme, students will develop their knowledge of civil engineering, focusing on key core subject areas such as geotechnics and materials and structures. They will possess skills in architectural and building technology, computer-aided design, health and safety, the environment, hydraulics, ground engineering and structural engineering. They will also look at how to solve problems using creativity and innovation, gaining a deeper understanding of engineering principles.

• Applicants whose first language is not English need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or equivalent qualifications such as TOEFL and PTE.

For international students enrolling in the BEng Civil Engineering at John Moores University, the tuition fee for the 2025/26 academic session is £18,250.
