BA Architecture

Course Overview

The BA Architecture at Kingston University helps you build the creative and practical skills needed for a future career in architecture. It is the first step towards becoming a qualified architect.

You’ll take part in studio projects, which make up at least half of the course. These projects will help you learn more about design through drawing, making models, and using computer tools. You’ll also be taught by architects who have real experience and who will guide you in both the creative and technical parts of architecture.

Studying Architecture at Kingston University will teach you how buildings are planned, how they are built, and why the materials used are important. You’ll also look at topics like sustainability, safety, ethics and cultural influences on architecture. These are all based on themes from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

This course gives you a strong base in architectural thinking and making. Past students have gone on to work in top architecture firms in the UK and abroad.
