BSc Forensic Science

The BSc Forensic Science at Keele University gives you the knowledge and practical skills needed for a career in the world of forensic investigation. From your first day, you will work with specialist facilities, including a dedicated Crime Scene House, and advanced forensic laboratories. You will study topics such as forensic chemistry, anthropology, digital forensics, and crime scene investigation. Keele’s large campus includes places where you can practise real-life crime scene investigations, both indoors and outdoors, such as vehicle and fire examinations.

You can make your learning even stronger by doing a work placement year or studying abroad at one of the partner universities. These opportunities will give you valuable work experience and help you see forensic science from an international point of view. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and confidence to work in many different roles in forensic science and similar areas.

Keele University is a public university located in Staffordshire, England. It was established in 1949 and was originally known as the University College of North Staffordshire. In 1962, its name was officially changed to Keele University.

Grade Requirements:

To qualify for this course, you need to meet one of the following grade requirements.

• If you have A Levels, you need to achieve a BBC, with one of those grades being a C or higher in either Chemistry or Biology. 
• If you are taking a BTEC, you must get a DMM. Alternatively, if you have a T Level, a Merit is required.

English Proficiency:

• International students will be required to show proficiency in English with an IELTS score of 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each of the components. Equivalent tests are also accepted.

For the 2025/26 academic session, the tuition fee to study the BSc Forensic Science at Keele University is £17,700. Please note that fees are paid annually and are subject to change.

Keele University offers a number of scholarships and financial aid options to reward academic excellence and ease the financial burden of students. For example, the Undergraduate Global Scholarship gives a tuition fee discount of £5,000. Eligible candidates will be considered automatically for this scholarship. Therefore, a separate application isn't required.
