BA Business Management with Hospitality

Course Overview

This course combines essential business knowledge with specialised insights into the hospitality industry. In this course, students will learn about customer service, environmentally friendly practices, and new strategies in the hospitality sector. This course covers topics like food, drink, and culture, along with how businesses operate today. 

A key part of this course is practical learning, with opportunities for placements, internships, and projects with real companies. Students will also develop skills to come up with new business ideas and drive innovation in the hospitality industry.

The course uses teaching methods that focus on students’ future careers, helping them apply what they learn to actual situations, and they will be assessed through activities like simulations, group projects, portfolios, reports, presentations, case studies, and essays. 

This course also provides students with the opportunity to study abroad and work with innovative businesses connected to Keele Business School. The course includes a programme to improve your professional skills, creativity, confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

About University

Entry Requirements

To join this course, you need to write a personal statement. In this statement, you should explain why you want to study this course and tell us about your previous education. A reference letter from a teacher or someone you have worked for is also required. If you have any work experience, you can include your CV with your application.

Grade Requirements:

The usual qualifications needed to get onto this course include A Levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma at MPP level, a BTEC Diploma at MM level, T Levels, or the International Baccalaureate. The university also accepts other qualifications from different countries that are considered to be at the same level as A Levels.  

English Proficiency:

If English is not the first language you learned, you need to show us that your English skills are good enough by getting an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS test, with a score of at least 5.5 in each of the four parts (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). The university also accepts other English language tests, such as TOEFL and PTE.

Cost of Study

If you are an international student studying the BA Business Management with Hospitality at Keele University, the cost for one year of full-time study is £22,700.

Scholarships

Keele University offers several scholarships for international students who will start their studies in the 2025/26 academic year. Some of these are automatically given based on how well you have done academically. These include the Undergraduate Global Scholarship (£5,000 off your tuition fees), the Advanced Entry Scholarship (£3,000 off your tuition fees), and the International Baccalaureate Global Scholarship (£1,000 off your tuition fees).  

There is also the Article 26 Sanctuary Scholarship, which will pay for all your tuition fees and give you some money to help with living costs if you have been given refugee status. You will need to apply separately for this scholarship.
