BA Business Management and Economics

Course Overview

This Business Management and Economics degree at Keele University is designed for individuals aiming for a business career or to start their own company. The course focuses on understanding how businesses operate and the economic principles that drive markets. About University

Keele University, established 75 years ago, is located on a 600-acre campus in the Staffordshire countryside, about an hour from Manchester and Birmingham. Keele was the first new university of the 20th Century and focuses on producing graduates with technical knowledge and an understanding of the social and political landscape. 

The university has over 13,500 students. Keele University also offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including Medicine, Law, Engineering, Business, and the Arts.

Entry Requirements

To get onto this course, you will need to write a personal statement. This is where you explain why you want to study Business Management and Economics and tell us about your previous education. We also need a reference letter from a teacher or an employer. If you have any work experience, you can also include your CV with your application.

Grade Requirements:

  • For the 2025/2026 academic year, the qualifications that the university accepts are A Levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma at MPP level, a BTEC Diploma at MM level, T Levels, or the International Baccalaureate. 
  • The university also accepts other qualifications from around the world that are seen as the same level as A Levels.

English Proficiency:

  • If English is not your first language, you must show us that your English skills are good enough for the course. Usually, this means getting an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS test, with a score of at least 5.5 in each of the four parts.
  • The university also accepts other English language tests, like TOEFL and PTE.

Cost of Study

If you are an international student studying the BA Business Management and Economics at Keele University, the cost for one year of full-time study is £17,700.

Scholarships

Keele University offers several scholarships for international students who will start their studies in the 2025/26 academic year. Some of these are automatically awarded based on your academic achievements. These include the Undergraduate Global Scholarship (£5,000 off your tuition fees), the Advanced Entry Scholarship (£3,000 off your tuition fees), and the International Baccalaureate Global Scholarship (£1,000 off your tuition fees). 

There is also the Article 26 Sanctuary Scholarship, which will cover all your tuition fees and give you some money to help with living costs if you have been granted refugee status. You will need to apply separately for this scholarship.
