Course Overview

The Glasgow Caledonian University BSc Software Development programme offers a specialised route for students aiming to become technical experts in the field of software development. Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements: 

  • For Year 1 entry, applicants need a UCAS Tariff of 96. This corresponds to Scottish Highers (BBCC) or A Level (CCC), with both including Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Computing. 
  • For Year 2 entry, an HNC Computing with an A in Graded Unit 1 is required. 
  • For Year 3 entry, an HND Computer Science or HND Computing: Software Development with a BB in Graded Units is needed.

English Proficiency: 

  • If an applicant is from a country where English is not the primary language, they will need an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each section. 
  • The university also accepts equivalent TOEFL and PTE scores.

For international students, the annual tuition fee for the BSc Software Development at Glasgow Caledonian University is £15,200.
