BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a full-time, three-year undergraduate programme that is designed to provide an understanding of core engineering principles, with coursework that covers power delivery, computer-aided engineering, industrial applications, and electrical machinery. 

Students will also cover subjects like antennas, radio wave propagation, computing technologies, and power electronics and also learn through lectures, seminars, and practical exercises that encourage discussion and teamwork, with an option for an industrial placement year or study abroad. 

The course starts with core concepts in the first year, then goes into specialised areas such as power electronics and control systems in the second year. The final year closes with a practical research project, where students use their skills for technical challenges and engineering abilities in the real world.

Grade Requirements: 

• Candidates need 112-120 UCAS Tariff points, including BBC-BBB at A Level, a BTEC Extended Diploma with DMM or an overall Merit grade in a T Level qualification.

English Proficiency: 

• Candidates need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual score below 5.5.
• PTE and TOEFL are also accepted. 
• Candidates who do not meet requirements can take a Pre-Sessional English course at the University.

For international students, the tuition fee for the BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme is £17,000 per year.
