MPharm Pharmacy

The MPharm Pharmacy at De Montfort University is designed to equip students with the clinical, practical, and professional skills needed to kickstart their career as pharmacists. During the course, students will learn to advise patients and the public on the safe use of medicines, monitor for side effects, and support the management of both acute and long-term health conditions.

Accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the programme offers hands-on experience and access to state-of-the-art facilities, including clinical simulation suites and a hospital ward. This ensures graduates are fully prepared for their Foundation Training Year and for a career as a registered pharmacist and independent prescriber.

Placements are a mandatory part of the course, providing students with hands-on experience in various pharmacy settings. They will apply their knowledge in real-world situations under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants are expected to hold A minimum of  120 UCAS tariff points from 3 A-levels, including Chemistry or Biology at grade B. Other equivalent qualifications include BTEC Extended Diploma, Access to HE Diploma and the International Baccalaureate. 

English Proficiency:

• Candidates whose primary language is not English are required to have an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each skill area.

For the 2025-26 academic year, the tuition fees for the MPharm Pharmacy at De Montfort University for international students are £16,750.
