BSc Artificial Intelligence
Course overview
The BSc Artificial Intelligence course at De Montfort University teaches students a full understanding of AI ideas and methods. Students learn how to use this knowledge to fix modern problems, like controlling smart home devices or preventing accidents. The course also helps students build important skills, such as learning the strong C++ programming language and really understanding computer networks and systems.
Students will get to control advanced mobile robots in special labs, and course topics are built around real situations from the AI industry, which helps students be ready for jobs. Entry requirements
Applicants must send in a personal statement explaining why they want to study the course and other important details about their education. They also need to provide a reference from a teacher or an employer. Students can choose to include their CVs with their applications to show any work experience they have.
Grade Requirements:
- Applicants need at least 112 UCAS points from qualifications such as A-levels, a BTEC National Extended Diploma at DMM, or a Pass in a QAA-accredited Access to HE Diploma.
- Additionally, five GCSEs at grade C or above are required, including English and Mathematics. International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme applicants usually need 26 points.

Applicants from non-English speaking countries need to score at least 6.0 overall in IELTS, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or submit equivalent recognised test scores.

There are three scholarships available. Each scholarship provides: 50% off the cost of tuition fees, and £3,500 cash bursary each academic year.
