MSc Air Transport Management

Course Overview

Cranfield University is a famous postgraduate university that specialises in management education, transport and aerospace.  With its own airspace and flight test facilities, the institution offers special opportunities for experienced learning.  Cranfield offers a concentrated setting where students directly collaborate with professionals,  thanks to its small class numbers and teachers with extensive industry expertise.  The Bedfordshire location, which is about 50 minutes from London, provides convenient access to a dedicated study location along with significant transit connections.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should include a brief statement expressing their interest in air transport and professional ambitions. References from academic or professional sources are requested, as well as a CV and relevant experience. International students who require visas should get ATA approval before starting the course.

Grade requirements:

 A UK upper second-class (2:1) honours degree or international equivalent is required. Candidates with an appropriate degree, such as in engineering, business or geography, are encouraged, although applicants from other fields with aviation experience will be considered.

English proficiency:

Non-country speakers should show 7.0 (minimum 6.0 in all components) or similar qualifications, such as TOEFL or PTE academic with an IELTS score.

Cost of Study

For the 2025/26 academic year, tuition fees are £ 12,505 for UK/Irish students and £ 27,910 for international students. All students will have to pay a non-refundable deposit (£ 500 for UK students, £ 1,000 for international students), which is deducted from the total fee. Payments can be made through complete or instalment plans. Additional costs include housing, study materials and living expenses.

Scholarships

Cranfield University offers several financial aid opportunities, such as the GREAT Scholarship (£ 10,000 for students from Special Nations), Aviation in Africa Scholarship (£ 5,000), and Air Transport Management International Merit Scholarship (10% fee discounts for international students).  Commonwealth Scholarship, Chevening Awards, and Industry-Planned Scholarships, such as ISTAT Foundation Awards, are further options.  Students in the UK can also apply for government postgraduate loans.
