Course Overview

The MLaw Law with Professional Practice course at Coventry University is designed to prepare you for the Solicitor’s Qualifying Examinations (SQE) and CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ). The course blends academic study with simulated professional practice to give you a solid foundation for a successful legal career.

The course will help you gain the knowledge and skills you need if you have a clear career goal in legal practice. You will get a deep understanding of the professional ethics and codes of conduct needed to do well in legal practice. You will also get to explore criminal law by following a criminal case from start to finish through a realistic case simulation.

The MLaw Law with Professional Practice course at Coventry University can be studied over four years full-time, or five years with an optional work placement. After completion, you will be awarded both the Law with Professional Practice MLaw and the Law with Professional Practice LLB (Hons).

Grade Requirements:

  • To be accepted into this course, you will need at least 120 UCAS points. These can be from different qualifications, such as A-levels with BBB grades, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with 24 points, BTEC Extended Diploma with DMM grades, and Access to HE Diploma with Merit.

English Proficiency:

  • International students are to show proficiency in English by having an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component area.

Cost of Study

The annual tuition fee to study the MLaw Law with Professional Practice course at Coventry University is £16,800. Please note that fees are paid annually and are, thus, subject to change.
