Course overview

The LLB International Law at Coventry University aims to prepare globally aware leaders in law. You will gain a strong understanding of legal ideas, concepts, and principles in both core and specialised areas of international law. The course will also help you understand how the law works in different situations, including its dynamic nature and the need for reform.

This course has a common first year, which allows you to work alongside students from other LLB courses. This helps you widen your knowledge of the law and develop the basic legal skills you'll need for the rest of your course. You will also be exposed to a range of current issues in law. If you find you are more interested in a particular area, you can swap degree courses at the end of your first year.

As you move into your second and final years, you will study further core legal modules while also exploring more specialised legal subjects and improving your practical legal skills. Studying International Law at Coventry University will help you apply legal knowledge and skills to both the theory and practice of law in a global context.

Entry requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • To be accepted onto this course, you need to have a minimum of 112 UCAS points. These points can come from different qualifications, such as A-levels with BBC grades, a BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM, an Access to HE Diploma with 30 credits, or an International Baccalaureate with 27 points.

English Proficiency:

  • If you are not a native English speaker, you must show that you are proficient in English. This means you need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no score lower than 5.5 in any of the four parts of the test.

    Alumni who hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree are now eligible for a 25% discount on the majority of published postgraduate taught full-time or part-time course fees including postgraduate certificates, diplomas.

    £2,000 scholarship per year of study.

    £1,500 or £3,000 per year

  • Vice-Chancellor Postgraduate Scholarship

    £2,500 scholarship for first year only.

  • Vice-Chancellor Undergraduate Scholarship

    Up to £4,000 off a full-time Undergraduate degree: Year 1 – £2,000, Year 2 – £1,000 and Year 3 – £1,000.
