BA Sport Management

The BA Sport Management with Foundation Year at Coventry University is a four-year programme that provides students with knowledge about the business of sport. It includes a foundation year, which is a preparatory year to help students understand the basic concepts of the course before entering the main programme.

In this course, students learn from experienced tutors who introduce them to the ways they can plan and supervise sporting activities. In addition, Business Communications and Management Skills are some of the modules offered in this course. This course builds students' entrepreneurial skills as they will learn how to generate revenue through sponsorships as managers of clubs and associations.

Additionally, students will learn how to secure sports scholarships through sports programmes that prioritise team spirit and offer specific initiatives to enhance athlete progress. They will also have access to the network of sports organisations in the UK and throughout the world to gain skills employers look for when recruiting workers.

Learning is through practical sessions, field visits, lectures, tutorials, and seminars. Assessment methods include written practical reports, oral presentations, assignments, reports, examinations, and a final-year project thesis.
