Course Overview

The BSc Computer Games Design & Development (Game Engine) course at Cardiff Metropolitan University is for students who want to learn how to make video games and work in the games industry.

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • To apply for this course, you usually need a UCAS tariff score of 112 - 120 points. You can get these points through different qualifications such as A-Levels (CCC), BTEC Diploma (DMM), International Baccalaureate, and Access to Higher Education Diploma. 

English Proficiency:

  • If your first language is not English, you must show that your English is good enough to study at the university. 

  • You will need an Academic IELTS score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each part, or an equivalent English test result. 

Cost of Study

For the 2025/26 academic year, the tuition fee to study the BSc Computer Games Design & Development (Game Engine) at Cardiff Metropolitan University is £16,000.

Scholarships
