Course overview

The BSc Sport Management with Foundation Year at Canterbury Christ Church University is an integrated four-year programme designed for students who may not meet the direct entry requirements for a standard undergraduate degree. The initial foundation year builds core academic skills and introduces fundamental concepts in sport and business, preparing students for the subsequent three years of the degree.

Following the foundation year, students will progress to the BSc Sport Management programme, which covers essential aspects of the sports sector, including strategic management, governance, leadership, and policy. Entry requirements

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying to the course and provide other relevant information about their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants typically need DDE at A-Level, or 48 UCAS points from other equivalent qualifications such as a BTEC National Diploma, an Access to HE Diploma, or the International Baccalaureate. 

  • The university also accepts international qualifications equivalent to A-level.

English Proficiency: 

  • Applicants from non-English-speaking backgrounds must demonstrate their proficiency in the English language by achieving an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each component.
  • Applicants can also provide equivalent recognised English language test scores, like PTE or TOEFL.
