BEng Top Up Electronic Engineering

The BEng (Top Up) Electronic Engineering at Brunel University London is designed for students who have a Higher National Diploma (HND) in electronic engineering and want to complete a Bachelor of Engineering qualification.

The learning is in areas such as analogue and digital electronics, signal processing, and emerging technologies within electronic engineering. The course prepares graduates to design and develop technological solutions.

Teaching is conducted through lectures, tutorials and group work, while the assessment is done through coursework, lab reports and a final year research project. The graduates of this course become creative, knowledgeable, and professional in the field.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need a Higher National Diploma (HND) in electronic engineering. 
• Other equivalent international qualifications may be considered on an individual basis.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants who do not speak English as their first language need an overall IELTS score of 6, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
• Accepted alternatives include Pearson (PTE) or TOEFL.

The tuition fee for this programme is £24,795 per year for international students. 

The Brunel University of London Undergraduate International Bursary 2025/26 offers a £3,000 fee reduction for self-funded international students on undergraduate courses, applied each year for a maximum of three years, or four years for integrated MEng programmes. Other scholarships and external funding options exist for international students who meet certain eligibility requirements.
