BSc Digital Film Production

Course Overview

The BSc Digital Film Production programme at Birmingham City University is designed to equip students with essential skills in film production technology, from scripts to the big screen. The 3-year programme nurtures students' creativity and ideas through the use of industry-standard tools, cameras and lighting, enabling them to apply technology in the  creation of innovative digital production.

Throughout the BSc Digital Film Production programme from Birmingham City University, students will learn to integrate audio-visual technologies with production processes, developing knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to the production of digital film content and to the wider film, television and video industries. Through the use of picture finishing software including Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, and Logic Pro, students will be encouraged to develop an extensive portfolio of work in addition to that produced for assessment.

Entry Requirements
