The LLB Law degree at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) is a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD), well structured to reflect the evolving legal landscape and the latest pathways to becoming a solicitor or barrister. The course delivers dedicated professional skills modules embedded in both the first and second year, designed to enhance legal research, writing and presentation skills; build confidence in client communication and case analysis; and prepare students for the realities of legal practices and graduate employment. Applicants are required to submit a personal statement outlining their motivations for applying to the course, along with any additional relevant educational information. An academic and/or employer reference must be included. Applicants may attach a CV to highlight their work experience.

Grade Requirements

• Applicants require 88 UCAS points or a minimum of BCC or CCD at A-level or DMM for a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma.
• Relevant equivalent international qualifications will also be accepted 

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English-speaking backgrounds must achieve a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each component.
• Equivalent test scores, such as TOEFL or PTE, are also accepted·

For the 2025/2026 academic year, international students enrolling in this programme will pay a tuition fee of £15,150.

At BNU, international students can access a wide range of scholarships and bursaries designed to ease the financial burden of higher education. These awards are non-repayable and are granted based on academic excellence, financial need, or personal background. Options include the Vice Chancellor’s International Student Scholarship and the International Early Payment Discount.
