BSc Management with Foundation Year

The BSc Management with Foundation Year is designed to prepare you for undergraduate study. It is suitable if you are returning to education after a break, have not studied relevant subjects previously, or did not achieve the required grades for direct entry to the degree. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, you will automatically progress to the main degree programme.

• Applicants typically need 48 UCAS tariff points. This can be achieved through qualifications such as A Levels at BBC, BTEC Extended Diploma at MPP, BTEC Diploma at MM, T Levels, or the International Baccalaureate. Equivalent international qualifications at A-level standard are also acceptable.  

English Proficiency:

• Applicants whose first language is not English usually need to achieve an overall score of 6.5 on IELTS, with a minimum of 6.0 in each section. The university also accepts equivalent scores from other recognised English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL.

For the 2025-26 academic year, the tuition for full-time international students undertaking the BSc  Management with Foundation Year programme at Birkbeck University of London is £18,060 per year.
