MSc Nursing Practice Adult

The Staffordshire University Nursing Practice (Adult) programme is a pre-registration Masters degree designed for graduates from any field who want to become registered adult nurses. It offers an accelerated route to qualification in two years, covering essential nursing skills, values, and knowledge. The course is shaped by the Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC) Future Nurse Standards, ensuring graduates meet professional requirements.

Students will gain hands-on experience in simulated hospital wards and through extensive clinical placements in various healthcare settings. Learning covers physical and mental health assessment, human factors in nursing, and leadership for care delivery. Grade Requirements:

• All candidates must hold an Honours degree (2:2 or above).
• Additionally, applicants must provide evidence of 675 hours of practical experience, paid or unpaid, in a healthcare setting within the last five years.
• This experience needs to be signed off by a current UK-based NMC registrant, with whom the applicant should have worked for at least 150 hours.

English Proficiency:

• Candidates whose first or primary language is not English need an IELTS score of 7.0 overall, with no individual part scoring lower than 6.5.
• Other approved equivalent English language qualifications are also accepted.

The tuition fee for the MSc Nursing Practice (Adult) at Staffordshire University is £19,000 per year for the 2025/26 academic year.
