Course Overview

The MSc in Research Methodology at Bangor University is designed for individuals who aspire to pursue a career in research across academic, commercial, or non-profit sectors. Entry Requirements

Applicants with a suitable professional qualification and relevant practical experience may also be considered.

Grade Requirements: 

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree with at least a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a recognised university or approved degree-awarding institution. 

English Proficiency: 

  • Non-native speakers are expected to have an IELTS (or equivalent qualification) score of 6.5 or above.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the MSc in Research Methodology at Bangor University is £19,000. This fee is only for the 2025/2026 academic session. It is, therefore, provisional and subject to change.

Scholarships

Bangor University provides a range of scholarships to assist international students with their tuition and living costs. These awards recognise academic excellence and offer financial support to help ease the financial burden of studying abroad. The Dean's Scholarship offers up to £6,000 in tuition fee reductions to students who have achieved outstanding academic results, such as an A grade or First-class equivalent, in their previous qualifications.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, valued at £10,000, is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate taught students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements alongside active participation in extracurricular activities.
