Course Overview

MSc Advanced Practice (Speech and Language Therapy) is a specialist route within the MSc Advanced Practice in Healthcare programme, usually completed on a part-time basis over a period of three years. The overall objective is to produce independent, reflective practitioners in advanced clinical practice by focusing on innovation and best practice in the profession.

The modules which students concentrate on are in line with the four pillars of advanced practice: Clinical Practice, Research and Audit, Leadership and Management, and Education. New specialist modules have been developed, such as Cleft Palate Speech and Multilingualism in Practice, which give students the opportunity to choose 60 credits of optional modules, depending on their specific professional needs.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to score 7.0 overall in IELTS Academic, with a minimum of 6.5 in each section (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
  • Equivalent qualifications, such as TOEFL and PTE, will also be considered for admission.
