Course Overview

The PhD Games Design at Brunel University London is designed for students with a clear research direction and a strong academic or professional background in gaming or design. Entry Requirements for Pakistani Students

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need a minimum of an upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or its equivalent.
  • Applicants with other relevant academic qualifications or professional experience may be considered.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants who do not speak English as their first language need an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6 in each component.
  • Accepted alternatives include Pearson (PTE) or TOEFL.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the PhD Games Design programme for the 2025/26 academic year is £22,320 for International students. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may change.

Scholarships

The Brunel Graduate Discount offers a 15% reduction on the net tuition fee for every year of study for eligible postgraduate and postgraduate research students who are alumni of the university. Other funding includes Brunel Doctoral Studentships and the GREAT Scholarship (up to £10,000).
