BA Person-Centred Counselling

Course Overview

The University of Suffolk BA Person-Centred Counselling is a three-year, full-time professional undergraduate degree that provides the knowledge and skills needed to become a fully qualified person-centred counsellor. The programme focuses on developing a strong theoretical foundation in the person-centred approach, especially the work of Carl Rogers, and cultivating the practical skills required for therapeutic practice.

While a full-time course, it typically requires only one to two days of campus attendance per week at East Coast College (Great Yarmouth), supported by self-directed study, allowing students to balance their studies with other commitments. Completion of the degree makes graduates eligible to apply for individual membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
