BSc Construction Management

Course Overview

The BSc Construction Management (Top-up) at the University of Bedfordshire allows students to build their knowledge and skills in design and construction. The course enables them to gain the knowledge, understanding and experience needed for good project management in construction, so they can be able to meet time and budget conditions.

Students will be introduced to the latest principles and technologies in the field, such as budgeting, cost management, and value management, which they can use to reach commercial and contractual outcomes. They will also investigate emerging technologies used in modern construction methods while analysing their importance for sustainability and finance. Students will also complete an Honours Project where they can apply their skills, knowledge, and creativity to a project of interest that is relevant to their field of study.

Entry Requirements for Nigerian Students

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants are expected to hold a relevant Level 5 qualification such as a Higher National Diploma, which should amount to 240 credits in a relevant subject.

English Proficiency:

  • International applicants need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or equivalents like TOEFL and PTE.
