The BA Business & Management (with Foundation Year) at Wrexham University helps you build the skills and confidence you need to succeed in the modern business world. In the Foundation Year, you will take classes that help you improve your study skills, explore different job options, and get used to university life. You will also begin to learn how businesses work and build useful skills for your future. As part of your studies, you will work towards an extra qualification: a Level 5 Diploma or Certificate in Leadership & Management from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This extra qualification is included at no extra cost and is recognised by employers.

Wrexham University is a public university in Wrexham, North Wales. It has a long history that started in 1887, when it was called the Wrexham School of Science and Art. In 1975, it became the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education (NEWI). In 2008, it achieved full university status and was named Glyndŵr University, honouring the Welsh scholar and hero Owain Glyndŵr. The university adopted its current name, Wrexham University, in late 2023.

The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various disciplines. Today, Wrexham University has modern classrooms and buildings on its main campuses, Plas Coch and Regent Street. Grade Requirements:

• The general requirement for the foundation year is 48-72 UCAS tariff points. 

English Proficiency:

• International students are expected to provide proof of proficiency in English. To do this, they must have an IELTS score of 5.5 with no individual skill score below 5.0. 
• Equivalent tests, such as LanguageCert or PTE Academic, are also accepted.

For the 2025/2026 academic session, the tuition fee for students with an IELTS score of 5.5 overall with no less than 5.5 in each subskill is £11,900. For those with an IELTS score of 5.5 with at least 5.0 in each element, it is £12,500.

Wrexham University offers several scholarship opportunities for international students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies. An instance is the International Bursary, which offers scholarships ranging from £500 to £1,875 to students. To be eligible, applicants must make a 75% advance payment of tuition fees before the issuance of the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

Apart from this, the First Generation Opportunity Scholarship offers a £1,000 cash award and a 25% discount on university accommodation for students who are the first in their family to attend university. It is available to international students for their first year of study. There is a maximum of 10 scholarships available.
