MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Surrey provides students with specialist knowledge and expertise for a professional career in electrical and electronic engineering. Students will study the fundamental theories of engineering science and applied mathematics, as well as develop practical and project skills.

Students undertake an extended piece of research and development work on a particular topic over two semesters, presenting the outcomes via a written Final Project Report and an oral viva-voce examination.

Students will build a solid foundation in core engineering principles, including mechanical motion, electrical circuits, and mathematics. They will also gain practical experience by working in teams to design and implement solutions, developing essential problem-solving and teamwork skills for the industry.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants are expected to have qualifications equivalent to A Levels AA-AAB, or International Baccalaureate 34-35 points in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics.

English Proficiency:

• Students from non-English speaking countries must have an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in Writing and 5.5 in other sections. Other equivalent English tests, such as PTE, are also accepted.

The tuition fee for international students taking the MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Surrey is £27,000 per year. Fees are subject to annual increase.

The University of Surrey offers scholarships and financial assistance, such as the Professor GQ Max Lu Global Scholarship. This award supports excellent international undergraduate students from low-income backgrounds who do not hold other Surrey scholarships and provides up to £10,000 off tuition fees per year for the duration of the programme.
