LLB Law with International Relations with foundation year

Course Overview

The LLB Law with International Relations with Foundation Year from the University of Surrey provides students with an introductory foundation year designed to give them the academic knowledge and confidence to progress to the full degree. The course develops their knowledge and understanding of legal frameworks and prepares them for potential careers as barristers or solicitors.

The programme encourages debate, discussion, and learning across key areas of law and international relations. Students will explore political and economic principles that govern the relations between states, the formation of agreements and treaties between states, and the extent to which states can and do rely on such principles and treaties.

In the second year of the main degree, students will take part in a Professional Training Preparation module, which helps them to develop key skills, complete a law-specific version of the university's Employability Award, and hear from a wide variety of voices from practice (both legal and non-legal).
