BSc Nursing Studies Registered Nurse Adult Nursing with foundation year

University of Surrey

Course overview

This undergraduate programme lasts for four years and has a foundation year that prepares students to become Registered Adult Nurses by caring for people from ages 16 and above. The programme is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and provides theory and practical experience to get graduates ready to work immediately.

The Foundation Year will build students' academic skills to move on to the main degree. Students will be taught in a Clinical Simulation Centre, which has realistic wards and a critical care unit where they will practise situations with actors and manikins. With both practice and studying, students will be placed in clinical settings throughout the course, with NHS partner trusts.
