MEng Civil Engineering

Grade Requirements:

• For A-Levels, you will typically need grades between AAA and AAB. You must have an A-Level in Mathematics. An A-Level in a science subject is helpful but not mandatory.
• If you have the International Baccalaureate Diploma, you will need an overall score of 35 to 34 points.

English Proficiency:

• International students need to demonstrate proficiency in English with an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, and you must achieve a minimum of 5.5 in every section (or an equivalent qualification).

The tuition fee to study the MEng Civil Engineering course at the University of Surrey is £27,000 per year. Do note that tuition fees are subject to an annual increase.

The University of Surrey offers various scholarships to ease the financial burden of its students. One opportunity is the International Excellence Award. This scholarship gives a £5,000 discount on the course fee for international students who pay for their own studies (self-funded) and are starting a full-time Master’s degree in September 2025.

Other scholarships may also be available. The University gives money based on a student's academic results (how well they did in previous studies) or other special situations. Students should check all the options for financial support.
